Hi, I'm Shannon! Welcome to my little motivational world of fitness, healthy eating, and positive thinking. Our bodies and minds work together, and both need a lot of care and attention in order to function properly, be successful, and be happy!
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband and our 2 year old daughter. I need a lot of energy to keep up with my toddler, and take care of our home, run my own lifestyle & fitness business, and still make time for the relationships in my life that are very important to me, like friends, family, and of course my smart and handsome husband!
I'm a long-distance runner and train for usually 3 half marathons a year, and throw a handful of 5Ks and 10Ks in there too. I've completed 2 full marathons and have helped coach people to reach their race goals. When I'm not running, I love to hike, paddle board, yoga, and I just love PiYo by Beachbody. For my lifestyle, home workouts are VITAL for my fitness routine. I just don't have the time or flexibility like I had before I became a mommy! Can anyone relate to that?! (I think I see some hands raised!)
I also can't stress the importance of staying fit and active during my pregnancy. With the green light from my doctor of course, I ran up until my 9th month of pregnancy and stayed fit with light resistance training, and modified P90X workouts. It helped me lose the 35 pounds I gained during my pregnancy, plus an additional 12 pounds!
Being healthy and fit takes a lot of hard work, commitment, and dedication. It's isn't easy, but it's usually easier when you're not doing it alone. I offer you the tools and motivation you need to get started and keep going on your health and fitness journey! This is my passion and you will soon realize this!
